2nd Shift: 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. The Maintenance Technicians primary focus will be to ensure systems and machinery perform at optimum functionality by performing preventative maintenance functions as well as repairing machinery that is not operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment that is consistent with health and safety standards
  • Ability to install new machinery that is consistent with health and safety standards
  • Perform/install electric service as necessary
  • Possess knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and TIG welding
  • Perform preventive maintenance on various machines and systems as required by health and safety standards
  • Routinely work with and understand various paperwork including operating manuals
  • Continually participate in additional training related to the job
  • Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area as needed
  • Regular and consistent attendance
  • Work with contractors and service providers in a professional manner
  • Consistently keep maintenance logs and reports on daily activities
  • Adhere to all procedures, safety policies and standards for the facility

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college or technical school preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems etc.
  • Knowledge of OSHA CFR 1910 Regulations
  • Knowledge of Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) requirements and food safety programs preferred
  • Knowledge of egg processing operations and equipment preferred
  • Proficiency with computers (MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Able to occasionally work flexible hours based upon Company work volume and needs
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
